Small group ministries:
We offer a women’s bible study once weekly on Thursday evenings. This is a small group opportunity for the women of the congregation and community to gather in study, reflection, and fellowship with each other to grow in their individual relationship with God. This group meets at the church on Thursdays at 6pm. Throughout the year, the group selects various book studies to focus on during their weekly sessions. The participants are then encouraged to complete weekly readings in the book series, as well as, additional individual time for devotion and reflection prior to each weekly session.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
On the first and third Saturday mornings of the month, the men of the congregation and community are invited to gather together at Crossroads Restaurant at 8am for a breakfast, prayer, and fellowship. This is an opportunity to develop personal connections with fellow brothers in Christ. This is a casual gathering and requires no prior preparation or commitment, and is an open invitation at any time for men in the community and congregation looking for an opportunity to develop relationships with others.
Weekly on Wednesday evenings, a small group of prayer warriors gather in our sanctuary to collectively lift up their prayers for each other, our families and community, and the needs of all humanity. All are invited to attend and participate in either group or silent prayer.
Annually in the cold winter months, the women of the congregation organize a weekend retreat. All in the community are welcome to participate. The location and dates are subject to change annually, but the event generally occurs Friday through Sunday at a location in northeastern Indiana. There is a cost for accommodation, food, and support for any invited speakers. The women raise funds for this event every year through the sales of nuts prior to the Christmas season. Please let us know if we can provide more information about the next retreat and how you can participate.
Coffee on the Corner: During the warmer months of the year, members of the church prepare coffee and snacks, and stand out on our humble corner of Washington Road and 800 South in southern Whitley County to greet members of our community. We offer these refreshments freely to the community as a symbol of our hospitality, gratitude, and love for you. We invite you to “stop” through and grab a coffee and the opportunity to pause along the path of busyness of day to day life.
Ice Cream Social
Annually on the weekend after Labor Day, we invite all of our community to gather with us at the Washington Township Community Center to enjoy a bowl of our homemade ice cream. We offer a warm meal and six or more flavors of ice cream for a free will donation. The money raised from this event every year is used by the church to support a local or congregational need.
